Jorge Peña Martín

Waiting for sea

Synopsis

What happens when we become parents? How do we leave one “self” behind to face another? From what vantage point do we view the world when everything is on the verge of change? How do we embrace the passing of the generational torch?

This short film is a personal letter, an intimate gesture from a father to his daughter. Through the landscape and the small rituals of daily life, it captures the emotions, doubts, and expectations surrounding her future arrival. Filming becomes a way of waiting, of nurturing, and of remembering: an attempt to seize a fragile, idealized beauty before time transforms it forever.
