Scotland
Synopsis
One of Montse’s hobbies is watching planes taking off and landing from the viewpoints near El Prat airport in Barcelona. Meanwhile, she dreams of traveling in one of them to Scotland, a country she wants to visit before she dies. But her illusion crashes with reality. Montse has metastatic kidney cancer. Her diagnosis is hopeless.
Montse lives every moment as if it were her last, and she lives her illness rediscovering life. Meetings at the bar with friends, her weekly appointment at the hairdresser, the puzzles that she completes without rest, her visits to the hospital to receive chemotherapy, or her continuous walks in the park near her house, are part of the routine in her fight against cancer.
Despite her optimism, she is afraid. Her thoughts and her inner world are collected in a journal shared with a domestic camera, in which she reveals her best-kept secrets, and gathers advices to leave to her closest friends.
