Jorge Peña Martín

Shipwrecked

Synopsis

Deep beneath the waters of Naufragados beach, on an island in southern Brazil, lie the remains of ships lost during the Spanish and Portuguese colonization. Today, a small community survives against the odds of the territory. Its residents—mostly fishermen, castaways of their own history—dwell in silence, living at their own pace and in deep respect for the mysterious nature that surrounds them. But as the past washes over the present, a new threat looms: the State intends to demolish the village.
