Shipwrecked
Synopsis
The beach of Naufragados, in the south of the island of Florianópolis, in Brazil, owes its name to several accidents that occurred during the Spanish and Portuguese colonization, in which this coastal front served as a refuge for the sailors which survived the shipwrecks.
Currently, this mysterious beach is occupied by a community that subsists through the adversities of the territory. Its inhabitants, mostly fishermen, castaways of their own history, live rudimentarily under their own time.
Between the realistic and the magical, this idyllic setting and its inhabitants build a portrait of a landscape that lives under threat: the destruction of their houses and the eviction of the community by the State.
